Hi! My name is Angela Mitchell and I was born in Hamilton, Ohio and raised in Concord, North Carolina. I attended North Carolina State University and received a B.A. in Sociology. In 2003, I moved to the wonderful state of Colorado. I lived in Telluride for 4 years where I was the Violence Prevention Coordinator for 3 local school districts and provided crisis counseling to adult and children victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. I also enjoyed skiing, hiking, and playing in the beautiful mountains while I was there. In 2007, I moved to my now home of Fort Collins. I received my Master's in Education for School Counseling from CSU and have been the counselor at Shepardson since 2009. At Shepardson, I am also the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Facilitator, a member of the Student Success Team, and the Peer Mediator Supervisor. I love the Shepardson family and often tell my students that I have the best job in the world. In my spare time, I love to play outside with my wonderful family: my husband, James, our 3 kids, Sorin, Brooklyn, and Jocelyn, and our very large puppy, Baxter. I am at Shepardson on Tuesdays and Thursdays this school year.
